Infused Water

Infused Water Here are a few tips that I use to stay hydrated! I didn’t think I would be writing about food so often but being healthy is a huge part of my life which makes it easy for me to share this passion.

HEALTH BENEFIT Being properly hydrated improves your skin complexion, encourages weight loss, and maintains healthy energy levels. Not getting a sufficient water can lead to dehydration that can cause dizziness, headaches and digestive problems. Fruits and herbs add vitamins and anti-oxidants; making infused water a healthy delicious choice instead of pop or sugar filled juices.

TIP: When we wake up our body is dehydrated; coffee further dehydrates you, so a good trick is to squeeze some lemon into a cold glass of water before your regular morning cup of Joe to re-hydrate. It also helps you wake up in the morning! It’s refreshing and will wake you up and re-hydrate you.

In the morning squeeze some lemon into a cold glass of water, it’s refreshing and will wake you up!

DETOXING A MYTH? I am timid when saying the word detox because there are so many arguments on whether or not detoxing actually works. I am Switzerland on the subject until I read more about it. However, your body does deal with toxins on a daily basis.

Toxins are commonly found in pesticides on food and chemicals in the air and water and have negative effects on the human body. Viruses and bacteria and the common colds are all considered toxins. The liver, lungs and kidneys process and get rid of toxins. Healthy eating and drinking are the easiest ways to help your body get rid of toxins.

It’s easy to incorporate these recipes into your daily routine. Infused water is good if you're like me and don’t have a blender, but still want to have all the health benefits of smoothies or juicing.
