Well we officially hit three months on July 2nd and I am completely blown away by the work that was done and the progress this little business has had. Last month we hit 200 sales and this month were over 600 sales! Wahoo! I figured that sales would slow right down when summer hit but they've just increased exponentially.
Teaching yoga to children has many benefits. Classrooms and daycares around the world are starting to implement yoga into their curriculums and daily activities. Yoga helps develop body awareness, improve coordination, build concentration and relieve stress and anxiety.
June 2nd will officially be two full months of Habitat Schoolhouseand I am enjoying every second of it! We've made over 200 sales in these past two months. I am so humbled (and excited) by how positive the response has been.
Mother's Day is only a few short days away and I wanted to do something special for you amazing moms. I am so thankful for each and every one of you. You are my friends, my support and my inspiration. You are doing such a fantastic job at raising your little ones.
I was talking to a number of our homeschooling moms about why I chose to start with the letter T first as too many it was a shock that the letter A wasn't my first choice. Before I even started this curriculum I spent about a month researching what children should learn before starting kindergarten. ( I went to university for many years studying early childhood education so the month was a refresher.) What studies and lists and teachers have all pointed to were things like fine motor skills, shape and colour recognition, numbers and counting, letters and things of this nature. We can teach these subjects to our little ones in the best way that suits them and sets them up for success.
April 1st will mark one month of Habitat Schoolhouse. I had no real plan for this venture when I started it, I just jumped in with both feet. Little did I know that my intention to provide family and friends with preschool activities for their toddlers would explode into a full-time business
It can be hard finding the best way to teach your child. Homeschooling can seem like such a big task but I'm here to reassure you it is much simpler than you think and is so rewarding. Here are a few steps to get you started.
The thought of sending your little one off to their first day of school can be bittersweet. On one hand, you feel proud of them and are excited for their new adventure (and for some free time to yourself) and on the other hand, you might feel torn because your little one has grown up so fast and maybe you even fear that they aren't ready. What we can do to prepare ourselves for this day and relieve some of the stress is to teach your child the things they need to know before that day comes so that you have peace of mind knowing your child is totally ready to start kindergarten.
We're so excited to introduce a homeschool curriculum for your preschoolers. I wanted to take a bit of time to write a detailed post on why we've decided to create this curriculum and how we go about planning and prepping it. It started as a labour of love that happened to turn into something more.
With this change, I started looking at a few ideas on how to paint her room and turn it into a fun place to play. We will be sharing the finished product shortly along with playroom organization and how we became minimalist when it comes to toys and clothing.
