Free Mother's Day Printables

Mother's Day is only a few short days away and I wanted to do something special for you amazing moms.  I am so thankful for each and every one of you. You are my friends, my support, and my inspiration. You are doing such a fantastic job at raising your little ones.

Motherhood has become my favourite season in life. My daughter, Jane, is such a sweetheart and I am so fortunate to be able to stay home and spend my days with her watching her learn and grow. She is so thoughtful and encouraging. I can sit for hours just watching her play, colour, or read a book. I do honestly feel blessed to have children and to watch the wonder that is a child’s developing mind. She’s definitely the firstborn though and is as stubborn as a mule. It has proven difficult from time to time (especially when needing to go anywhere quickly) but it is a trait of hers that I admire. She is growing into a strong and independent individual who will stand her ground when opposed which I think is very important. She loves to host tea parties for her stuffed animals and insists on wearing a dress at all times even when she’s climbing a tree or playing in the mud.

My son Henry, who’s coming up on the year-and-a-half mark, is in a whole different ball game. He's a wrecking ball who is always going at full speed. He climbs everything as fast as he can, he won’t walk anywhere - nay nay, walking is far to slow, - he has to run there, and now that he has figured out how to get those little legs moving faster he’s almost impossible to catch. He has a wicked arm and he can throw a ball harder and further than I can, he is always 'go go go' and doesn't stop moving until he crashes at nap time, then he’s so calm and peaceful. He is pure joy and is happy all the time. If you can catch a good look at him that’s not just a motion blur, you will see him smiling with his cute little dimples.

Motherhood is amazing and every year Mother’s Day gives me a reason to really sit and reflect on it. This little printable colouring page is something that I drew the first year I was a mother and every Mother’s Day since then my daughter has coloured it and given it to me on Mother’s Day. This year will be the first year my son has coloured it, and when I say colour I mostly mean he is smashing his pencil crayon into it at a hundred miles an hour. None the less, it’s his first Mother’s Day gift to me and I will cherish it every time I look at it.

Enjoy and Happy Mother’s Day Mama!
